Anatomy of a 3D Navigation Device
The key to all 3D navigation devices is the controller cap. Pressure sensing
technology allows the cap to become a virtual extension of you. Push, pull,
twist or tilt the cap a fraction of inch to simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate
3D imagery. Increase pressure to go fast or decrease pressure to make intricate
adjustments.
Why use a 3D navigation device instead of a mouse?
The key advantage of a 3D navigation device over a mouse and keyboard is the ease
of performing intricate adjustments to camera views and models. Using mouse and
keyboard require separate steps, increasing clicks and interruptions, to perform
all three maneuvers. Our devices are typically used in the non-dominant hand,
freeing the mouse to access commands and objects within the interface.
